Wei-Pack understands that having a single
source in charge of the project simplifies decision-making,
coordination, and contract payment. Commonly referred to as
"turnkey" providers, we consolidate the responsibilities
of engineering, procurement, construction, and start-up assistance.
For that reason, our strength lies in organizing all these
activities under one engineering entity, bringing our client
peace of mind every step of the way.
Today, manufacturing projects are as complex as ever, and
still demanding consistent engineering expertise, attention
to detail, dependability, and cost savings. That's why our
ability to complete fast-track projects efficiently and cost-effectively
is appealing to clients, both domestically and internationally.
Working hand-in-hand with customers to meet their requirements,
we provide integrated multi-disciplined services to processing
businesses in Lubricants, Petroleum, Chemicals, Paints, Coatings,
and Personal Care.
The benefits of turnkey delivery are achieved by offering
an approach that begins with conceptual design and feasibility
studies and follows through with a Master Plan proposal featuring
detail design engineering, procurement, and construction.
Basically, Wei-Pack assigns a definitive work plan to manage
project scheduling and budgeting. It is Wei-Pack's duty to
assume an aggressive role in the project implementation, without
inundating client with trivial matters. However, the client
is regularly informed of ongoing process developments.
As customers look to Wei-Pack as their single engineering
and contracting representative some of the services they can
expect include:

Master Plan Proposal - To arrive at this initial planning
stage of a project, Wei-Pack performs a comprehensive review
that encompasses all manufacturing operations.
The Master Plan Proposal is a key driver for mapping a path
forward in terms of process definition, capital investment,
and operating practices needed to
reduce manufacturing cost, increase capacity, improve safety,
and minimize environmental risk.
Basic Design - Once the Master Plan has established
the project scope and process definition, a more involved
execution of Basic Design takes place. Elements
included during this phase compromise documents such as process/plant
description, process flow diagrams (PFD), plot plans, equipment
layout, modular process and instrumentation
drawings, equipment specifications, and equipment lists.
Procurement - Concurrent to the development of Basic
Design, Wei-Pack solicitations and negotiations take place
to start the bidding process for equipment, materials,
and subcontracting work. The goal is to capture the lowest
ultimate cost without sacrificing project requirements. Forty
years of procurement experience makes
this possible because of the strategic alliances formed with
key suppliers and contractors.
Detail Engineering - Once project scope and process
definitions have been established, the sequential activities
of Detail Engineering can commence. Detail Engineering
is usually realized once an official contract has been approved
by the client. This phase includes the final calculations
for hydraulics and equipment sizing,
equipment specifications and data sheets, construction drawings,
and preparation of the operating, installation, and maintenance
manuals.
Construction - Although construction is the final phase
of development, early planning is crucial to bringing the
project to fruition. This enables Wei-Pack to anticipate
and avoid designs that can result on difficult construction
scenarios, or unnecessary costs in the field. Included as
part of the construction schedule is site
operator training, commissioning, start-up and performance
testing.
